Hi,

The LivingWithTN.org moderators have initiated developing some guidelines to help community moderators in approving new members and helping the network to avoid spammers.
Please check out these helpful guidelines and see what you can add more in our standard list:

1. Prior approval, verify applicant's background information by checking his profile page
Click the “View Page” link to check out the applicants profile that he filled out when he joined and going forward approve, decline, or suspend your new applicants.
2. Verify how the applicant answers our profile question.
When an applicant chooses "I want to share with others what I've learned..." there's a good chance that he is trying to get in to advertise and/or solicit patients. But, there are of course, some exceptions.
When this option is chosen as the reason for wanting to join our community, notify an Administrator for review of his application before granting the approval of membership.
3. If you received unsolicited off-topic messages, or see any inappropriate material here, please report the same immediately to Administrators of this community.
4. If someone sends you spam, the first thing to do is to block that person from sending you messages.
5. If you notice posts in or network that are spam, include inappropriate content or otherwise violate Ning’s Terms of Service, flag that content to hide it from members When viewing a photo, video or blog post, you can select "Flag" from the Options drop-down menu to mark the content.
