Just got diagnosed with PSC and scheduled to go to Afghanistan

Hey all! I just got diagnosed with PSC two days ago. I was diagnosed with Crohn's back in 2000, and at the time, they thought I might have PSC due to slightly elevated liver enzyme markers. Since then, though, my liver enzyme levels have gone slightly above normal and then have dipped back down to normal. My Crohn's has been almost wholly managed with Azulfidine also. The problem is I'm scheduled to go to Afghanistan in three weeks (government civilian). My doctor (young intern at the VA) pushed for an MRI to get a final PSC diagnosis after finding out I was going to Afghanistan. Turns out, it showed up in my "large ducts." He is now adamant that I do not go, but I've had NO symptoms and my liver enzyme levels continue to be borderline high to normal. Outside of this, I'm a very healthy male in my late 30s. I'm scheduled to go for six months and really want to take it for career enhancement. Thoughts? Thanks in advance for any insight.
